Building on its long history of supporting the arts, today Gap introduced Artist Editions T-Shirts, a limited edition collection of t-shirts designed by 13 of today’s most influential contemporary artists, including Chuck Close, Jeff Koons, Marilyn Minter, Kiki Smith, Cai Guo-Qiang, Barbara Kruger, Ashley Bickerton, Kenny Scharf, Glenn Ligon, Rirkrit Tiravanija, Kerry James Marshall, Hanna Liden and Sarah Sze.
The clothing at the Gap is made from very good quality material, this is not surprising, and it is because of this quality that the Gap clothing store is one of the leading places to purchase blue jeans. They have something for everyone in the family. Mom can go into the store and purchase a trendy and hip dress to wear for an evening out on the town. She can even grab a handbag and a pair of shoes to go with the dress. Dad can go and grab a nice quality T-shirt and a nice pair of dark denim blue jeans. They offer on a brand of clothing made especially for children; this clothing would be found underneath the name Gap Kids. Clothing for women at the Gap range from size zero and go all the way up to a size 24. This is especially good for plus size women tend to have a very hard time locating stores that specialize in their sizes. The good thing about buying your jeans from this store is that the sizes tend to run on the large side. A female that would normally wear a size 10, can walk out of the store with clothing in a size 8.
Gap the USA-based clothing retail store, promoted their Khaki line of clothes with a visual-effect-laden revival of swing music and dance. Gap -- Khakis Swing, a 1998 television commercial, introduced much of the world to what became known as ‘Bullet Time’. The 30 second ad featured khaki trousers-wearing dancers doing the lindy hop, the 1920s Harlem dance that inspired the Swing Era, with its jitterbug or swing moves.

Why a collection of 6 scents all at once, one might ask? "We wanted it to be a whole environment, and that's hard to do with one scent," said Laird. "These scents are light, so you can easily layer several of the products and not be over the top."The limited edition collection is available exclusively at select Gap stores in the U.S., Canada, the U.K. and franchise markets, as well as online in the U.S. at It’s also available at the Whitney Museum of American Art, the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago, the Museum of Contemporary Art Los Angeles, the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis and at Colette, a Paris-based boutique. The t-shirts range in price from $28 to $38.Gap worked in close partnership with the Whitney Museum of American Art and Art Production Fund to create the collection with the 13 artists, who are all previous Whitney Biennial participants. The Whitney Biennial is a special exhibition held every two years at the Whitney Museum of American Art that features the most important contemporary art in the United States. Gap is a proud sponsor of the 2008 Whitney Biennial.
